1. Powerpuff Girls

I actually did this one a couple of years ago with some girlfriends! Making our costumes was super easy and cheap – just buy an extra large T-shirt from Walmart, tie/glue a black ribbon around the middle, and fix up your hair. Of course being a ginger, I had to be Blossom (I wanted Buttercup!) Whomever you choose to dress up as, know that you’ll be showing that girls rule to any party you go to!

2. Selena Quintanilla

Anything for Selenaaas! The OG Selena is downright my favorite musical artist of all time – and deservedly so. Her variety of outfits throughout the 90s are ICONIC. From her cow print jacket to bejeweled bustiers to the legendary Astrodome purple jumpsuit; any look you choose will make everyone’s heart go ‘bidi bidi bom bom!’

3. Spice Girls

Of course, my personal ~favorite.~ Grab your girlfriends and decide who wants to be Baby, Posh, Ginger, Sporty, and Scary! Try matching the costumes to each other’s personalities to make things really entertaining. Each Spice Girl serves up her own individual style, so have fun with it and be who you ‘wannabe.’

4. Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction

This classic character from Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece of a film is actually pretty easy to do! Slap on a black bob wig, white Oxford, black slacks, and some flats, and you’re pretty much good to go. To spice things up a little, try using fake blood around your nose or glue a fake syringe to your chest to get the real Mia Wallace look. I said ‘Goddamn!’

5. Britney Spears

Now this is one where you can get really creative! Britney has had a plethora of eras that you can draw inspiration from: schoolgirl, alien girl, airline stewardess, even 2007 breakdown Britney (LEAVE HER ALONE). No matter what period of her fabulous career you choose to dress up as, you’re gonna work bitch.
