How to Add a Little Spice to Your Life and Be “That Girl”

Although it’s been a while since “that girl” was trending on TikTok, the concept continues to motivate people and it’s something I really aspire to be!

You don’t have to live such an extravagant life with the perfect significant other, body, group of friends, productive schedule, etc. You could simply live your authentic life while adding a little spice.

Here are some tips that helped me:

  1. Find something you’re passionate about and NEVER let it go

Personally, I’m really passionate about running. Maybe a little too passionate. Snow could be falling from the sky and you’d still catch me running around outside. People probably think that I’m crazy, but I really enjoy it. I currently have a 490-day running streak and cannot wait to reach my 500-day milestone!

Having a passion keeps you learning and working towards perfecting something you love!

  1. Create a To-Do list and block out time for study sessions

Balancing school, social life, work, volunteering, internship, sorority, etc. can be a lot to handle. Things can get overwhelming really fast. To combat this, you can plan your day-to-day schedule, but don’t be too strict with it! Create a general plan for how you will go about your day, so you can find time to study and finish everything you need to do.

You got this!

  1. Fuel your body

Your body needs nutrients to function properly, so fuel your body with them!

Eating fruits and vegetables keep you healthy and continuously helps your body. I keep trying to tell myself to eat healthier but I always end up reaching for PopTarts (the strawberry ones are amazing)! You should allow yourself to have a treat every now and then. You just have to listen to your body when it’s hungry!

  1. Hydrate

Drinking enough water everyday is important for our health and has so many benefits for our bodies. But, drinking a lot of water is easier said than done!

I have a ½ gallon water bottle with timed markings on the sides to track my water intake throughout the day. This can be very helpful but it is easy to fall behind on the scheduled times. Just make sure to stop any dehydration!

  1. Try Manifesting

I know it sounds a little crazy, but it works! If you consistently think and speak about something you want to happen in your life, it might just manifest itself and happen soon. You have to truly believe that it will happen for your manifestations to occur. It can’t hurt to try!

If you try at least one of these, or set one goal to focus on for a month, you’ll be able to say that you’re a new and improved person. You took action! You’re “That Girl!”

I’m a Finance, Economics and English student at Ohio State. I'm in Gamma Phi Beta as well- a chaotic whirlwind of crazy from running everyday and drinking way too much coffee (+ celsius)! <3
