Winter Term Essentials

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

It’s that time of the year: winter term. Winter term is often draining for us after taking an entire month off from school for the holidays. Don’t fret; I’ve created a list of my winter essentials to combat the chilly weather, stay motivated and be stylish throughout the term.

Statement coats

Let’s face it; winter term is really cold. Whether it’s overcast, raining or snowing, it’s essential to have a coat on you at all times.

Coat: H&M

Scarves and hats

When it gets especially cold, it’s time to layer up. This means grabbing a thick scarf to throw around your neck and a hat to keep your head and ears warm.

Scarf: ASOS

Red or burgundy lipstick

You really can’t go wrong with the perfect winter lip color. Go for a classic cherry red or a deep vampy purple to instantly boost your confidence.

Lipstick: Nars Audacious Lipstick

Boots

Boots are a staple in any winter wardrobe. They keep your feet toasty and are stylish at the same time. For us here in Oregon, we require both regular boots and rain boots for the especially wet days.

Boots: Urban Outfitters

Warm workout gear

It’s time to bundle up before heading outside for that run. Workout leggings and long-sleeved layers are essential while you’re outdoors getting your sweat on.

Apparel: Nike

Travel mug

Coffee or tea is a must to get through a long day of classes and meetings. To cut down on the cost of buying it every day from a coffee shop, pick up a cute reusable one and brew it at home.

Mug: Kate Spade

Morning playlist

It can be difficult to get going in the morning when it’s still completely dark out. Create an awesome playlist to wake up and start your day on a positive note.
