It’s that time of the year when registration eligibility for the next term is finally here! It’s scary to think about how fast each term has gone by. Recently, I noticed that my registration date was pretty late and felt shocked and frustrated about it. It’s disappointing to see your classes fill up quickly over the week when you know that you are not registering til later.

As a current junior, I am trying to just be optimistic about it and fill the classes that I was planning to take with other classes that are unrelated to my major. There are opportunities to take classes outside of your major since you’re required to take a certain amount of nonelective classes. So use that as an opportunity to discover other classes that interest you or that you thought about taking in the future. It’s difficult knowing that you can’t control when your registration date is and predicting whether you’ll get into your ideal classes. There is a possibility that those classes might open up again during break.

So stay positive and accept this difficult process. A lot of my friends that I’ve talked to are not happy with their current schedule and are disappointed about it so you are alone if you’re feeling this way. You might learn to discover new classes outside your comfort zone. I wish you all the best of luck for registration and hope that you can look on the bright side of things if you are anxious and not happy about your class schedule this term.
