KIND Movement: The Power of Kindness

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Whoa, this isn’t your average nutrition bar.
Everyone has heard of Clif Bars, Luna bars and Balance Bars. But have you heard of the latest KIND sensation?
KIND is an up-and-coming healthy snack company that sells 21 different flavors of bars and six different flavors of grains, which are similar to granola. Its philosophy is simple: “Be KIND to your body, your taste buds, and the world”. You might be wondering how KIND bars taste amazing but are also so cheap. So what’s the secret, KIND?
Amazingly enough these bars are made with simple, whole foods with names that you can actually pronounce so you know what’s really going into your body. They have a lower sugar count than many other nutrition bars and most bars are 200 calories or less! KIND bars also have great variety in flavors; some are like a dessert, for instance, the Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt flavor, and some are fruitier like the Apple Cinnamon and Pecan flavor. KIND bars are sold at most health food stores and they are starting to appear in places like Safeway, Fred Meyer and even Wal-Mart for about $1.50 to $2 per bar.
