Enjoy a slice of bread and a cup of hot chocolate this winter. This is my favorite snack to have before bed in 40°weather.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients:

–       2 cups of flour

–      1 teaspoon of baking powder

–      1 teaspoon of baking soda

–      1 teaspoon of salt

–      3 ripe bananas, mashed

–      1 tablespoon of milk

–      1 teaspoon of cinnamon, option

–      ½ cup of butter, softened

–      1 cup of white sugar

–      2 eggs

–      1 cup of chocolate chips, or as much as you like ;)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan, preferably glass.

  3. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

  4. Stir bananas, milk, and cinnamon in another bowl.

  5. Beat butter and sugar in a third bowl until light and fluffy.

  8. Stir in dry mixture until blended.

  9. Fold in chocolate chips until just combined.

  10. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

  11. Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 70 minutes.

  12. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

  13. Enjoy!
