5 Easy Halloween Treats You Can Make In A Dorm

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.

If you’re anything like me, you love all things sweets, chocolate and snack size. Living in a dorm in college with access to only a microwave or community kitchen can make baking fun snacks like cupcakes or brownies hard to do. Here are 5 easy Halloween treats that you can make even in your tiny dorm room that won’t leave a scary mess perfect for yourself, roommate bonding, or a small get together with friends!

Rice Krispie Treats

An absolute classic turned Halloween! This treat is super easy to make in your dorm microwave and can be altered to fit so many Halloween themes with the help of food coloring and decorations like pumpkins or Frankensteins.

Pudding Graveyard

Similar to the old-time fan favorite dirt and worm pudding cup, it’s super easy to make a cute little graveyard with the help of some snack packs and Halloween Peeps and candy.

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Another super easy dorm snack to make is these Halloween themed chocolate covered marshmallows. Quickly melt chocolate in your microwave and get to town. This is great to make alone after a long day or decorate a ton with friends!

Puppy Chow

If you’ve never tried puppy chow before, it’s time to change that! A little messy to make in the dorms, this puppy chow is still completely doable to make in your microwave. It even has the perfect Halloween touch perfect for a scary movie marathon or a game night with friends.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Make these adorable chocolate covered pretzels in your microwave with the help of different colored chocolate and decorations. These are perfect for little gifts for friends to celebrate the holiday, or great to eat yourself!
