In 2020, I compiled a list of my 5 favorite makeup products of that year. Needless to say, we all had a lot of time to ourselves in the last year due to the pandemic. With that time, I chose to get more interested in makeup and experiment more with different products. I also purchased more products and fell in love with more of them and have added them to my daily routine!

So, without further ado, here is a list of some of my favorite products — some that have carried over from last year and some brand new ones!

Too faced Mr. perfect foundation brush

I have been using the Too Faced Born This Way foundation and its complementary concealer for a little while now, but in the last six months, I finally got the Too Faced Mr. Perfect Foundation Brush to help apply my foundation. I can confidently say this brush is immaculate — it is so soft and its angled structure makes the application clean and concise.

rare beauty soft pinch liquid blush

The Rare Beauty brand is truly one of the best celebrity makeup brands in my opinion. The brand is super clean and natural — with lovely, accessible packaging and practical products. For the longest time, I wanted to purchase the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, which I finally did a month ago. I chose the shade “Brave” which is a lovely bright rose mauve. The product is super smooth and trust me when I say a little goes a VERY long way. While the product is $20, it is super worth it as it is high quality and will last a long time.

juvia’s place eyeshadow

This is a repeat from last year, but I truly barely use any other eyeshadow. Juvia’s Place eyeshadows cannot be beaten when it comes to both their pigment and their prices. I use their The Taupes Palette and The Nudes Palette the most, but I also purchased their Nubian Royal and Nubian Glow Bundle for bolder looks.

glossier boy brow

Another repeat from last year — this is the most dependable product that Glossier has. The Boy Brow, which I have in the blonde shade, is an amazing brow grooming pomade that tints the brow (if a color is chosen) and also sets the brow hairs in place. The only downside is how small the product is!

e.l.f clear brow and lash mascara

Something I have used a lot this year when I have not wanted to purchase another Boy Brow (or perhaps want a more relaxed look for my brows) is the e.l.f Clear Brow and Lash Mascara. e.l.f is known to have great products for insanely great prices and this is no different! This dual-sided product serves as a great primer on the brows and lashes for bolder makeup or to perform as a great natural look that lasts all day!

glossier haloscope

A favorite of mine for a while has been the Glossier Haloscope, which is a dew effect highlighter infused with crystals. I have mine in the shade Quartz and I use it nearly every day. The color has a pearlescent effect and it is rather hydrating and moisturizing. I love using it as a base for a bolder highlight or by itself for more subdued looks.

colourpop super shock highlighter

Another highlight that I have personally loved this year is the Super Shock Highlighter in the shade Stole the Show. The color is a gorgeous “light warm silver” that works beautifully with both gold or silver looks.

rare beauty positive light liquid luminizer

Another Rare Beauty favorite! I have been obsessed with this highlighter product from Rare Beauty as it was the first liquid highlighter I had used. The Positive Light Liquid Luminizer, which I have in the shade “Enchant” is a lovely silky, glittery highlight that blends very nicely on the skin. I chose this soft pink shade as I have natural rosy undertones and thought it would complement them nicely!

fenty beauty gloss bomb universal lip luminzer

Another repeat from last year that is totally well-deserved. I have yet to find a better gloss other than this. I still use the shade “FU$$Y” all the time and it is a perfect gloss with a beautiful pink shimmer. I am planning on buying a bigger set of them with more colors!

nyx matte setting spray

The setting spray that has been voted #1 in America is also my personal favorite! The NYX Matte Setting Spray is a wonderful, lightweight spray that helps all these lovely other products stay on all day. I definitely recommend it!
