Over the past year, I’ve become more interested in makeup. While I do not consider myself someone who is at all talented at it, nor who knows much about it, I have done my best to do my research and play around with new products to feel more comfortable with them.
As I have discovered different brands and products, I have found a few that stick out to me as my go-to’s. Here is a list of some of my favorite makeup products that I can never leave out of my makeup routine.
- Glossier Boy Brow

Glossier was one of the first makeup brands that I got into. I enjoy their clean aesthetic and their promotion of skin care and self love. While many of their products are wonderful, like their haloscope and classic balm dot coms, their boy brow takes the cake. The product come in black, brown, blonde, and clear, and does an amazing job of shaping, grooming, and setting the brows into place.
- Juvia’s Place Eyeshadow Palettes

For a long time, I was afraid to even use eyeshadow, and when I did, I wanted it to be barely noticeable. However, as I got to be more comfortable with makeup, I discovered higher quality eye shadow that is more pigmented. Juvia’s Place has lovely palettes–from colorful neons to classic nudes and taupes–that offer depth and all for a fantastic price.

I tend to use this product, in the shade, ‘How Many Carats?’ as a fun, glittery highlight on my face. The product is gorgeous, especially when it catches the light.
- Florence by Mills Cheek Me Later Cream Blush

Blush was another product that I found myself hiding away from, in fear that it would be too pigmented and add to the redness my face already has. But, through careful experimentation, I found brands like Florence by Mills which have lovely cream blushes that add a lovely layer of color to the face. I use the shade ‘Stellar Sabrina’ which is a bright berry.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve shifted back into my love of lip gloss as opposed to lipstick. Fenty Beauty’s Lip Luminizer, which I have in the shade ‘FU$$Y’ is a gorgeous dusty pink that gives a nice, natural color while also adding a lovely, sparkled look to the lips.
