In the ideal world I am King.

Yes, King not queen because I’m tired of the patriarchal bullshit,

Where even in a position of royalty the man has more power than the woman.

As if we didn’t carry you for nine months just to be put in pain to see YOU enter this world

I want to call the shots,

Win the bread,

Do the proposing,

Because you should be honored that we deem you as worthy enough to spend the rest of our lives with.

When I get home from work have dinner waiting for me

Run me my bath,

Give me a massage,

Ask me about my day,

Do not ask me when I’m going to be home, I told you I am out with the girls

Don’t worry yourself about the unsaved numbers in my phone,

They’re just friends

And if I mess up and hurt you,

Forgive me

Because I am just a “King” I’m still learning

Imagine me as King

Imagine I could do to you as you do to me

Yea,

I wanna be King.
