We all have that one horrible housemate who you just can’t get along with. The one where at first you thought they were tolerable, but as time went on, and you had to actually live with this person, they became a nightmare.
We asked you what your worst stories are and here they are! (Names have been changed to prevent any further fights breaking out in your house.
Priya
One guy in my flat let meat to defrost for 2 weeks. When we mentioned it to him he laughed at it and left the room.
Beth
My flatmate has a habit of ditching us in the club, and leaving with our keys, so we get locked out, or she commands us to leave with her.
Johnny
My flatmate claimed that I tried to poison her by putting washing up liquid in her pasta sauce to try and get me kicked out of the uni for no good reason.
Tash
When I studied abroad in America, my roommate didn’t wash herself or her clothes the entire time I lived with her. The smell sucked the will to live right out of me. I want to vomit now just thinking about it.
Nat
One of my flatmates was super pedantic about her milk being used without asking, so she started marking her milk bottle with how much was left in. So we started messing with her and added more milk in her bottle.
Jenny
One time I came back early to uni with my parents, and walked in on my housemate smoking and his friend that I had never met before ironing in only his boxers.
(Authors note: try to avoid typing ‘ironing in boxers’ into Google, you get some strange results.)
Alissa
We used to live with a seriously high maintenance guy who only cleaned when he was bored and glorified himself for doing it. Even though we also cleaned the house and it was mostly his mess. It got too much for him to live with other people so he moved out without telling us.
