Campus Style SPOTTED: Spring Trends – Think Pink!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

This week’s spring style is pink. Pink isn’t just your typical baby or pastel pink, but salmons, deep pinks and neon pinks (especially) are all predicted spring ‘17 colours. If you have some pink in your wardrobe, dig it out and if not, buy some!

This week’s campus style spotted is first year Maths student, Emma Mcdonald. I was first drawn to her super cute frilled dogtooth cigarette trousers – a pair that I myself actually really wanted. Her pink clothing item was a simple but effective salmon pink Topshop hoodie. Topshop hoodies of this type come in a variety of colours: purple, blue, pink, yellow and many more. They are fairly cheap and apparently very cosy. Emma made her outfit more casual with some Adidas superstars, which are a must-have pair of trainers for every girl!

Name: Emma Mcdonald

Year: 1st year

Hall: Nightingale Hall

Subject: Mathematics

Emma is wearing…

Jumper: Topshop

Trousers: Topshop

Shoes: Adidas (Schuh)

Earrings: Accessorize

What inspired your outfit today?

Emma: I didn’t want to wear a big coat today as it’s quite warm.

What piece of clothing / accessory completes your outfit today and why?

Emma: The hoodie I’d say because it’s new and it gives me a bit of warmth.

What piece of clothing / accessory can’t you leave the house without?

Emma: My trainers, I think I wear these like every day.

Where is your number one place to buy clothes from?

Emma: I love Topshop and Urban Outfitters but they are both quite expensive so I’d have to say Asos.
