East Coast Music Festivals are Just as Fun as Coachella

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

Bring out the flower crowns, Bohemian fashion, and glitter everything, because it is that time of year again… the Coachella music festival is here. For those of you lucky enough to be in the valley this weekend, live it up and make most of the entertainment, weather, and killer fashion. But, for the east coasters who couldn’t make it to Cali, have no fear. East coast music festivals have your back. Here are three music festivals where you can get your free spirit on and have the musical time of your life.

Panorama Music Festival

From the same people who organize Coachella comes its East Coast counterpart. Taking place on the last weekend of July, this three-day event features food, drink and most importantly, live performances by some of your favorite artists. Just check out this insane line-up:

The Panorama Music Festival will be hosted in Randall’s Island Park. For more information and ticket purchases, check out their website at: http://www.panorama.nyc/

The Governor’s Ball

Also hosted in Randall’s Island Park, this festival features music ranging from pop to hip-hop, rock to electric and much more! But if music isn’t enough to make you step out on the scene, food trucks and restaurant kiosks will also be set up to make sure your every last craving is satisfied. Mark your calendars, because June 2 – 4, you’re going to want to make your way to this party.

Boston Calling

While the people of New York know how to have a good time, we should note that all east coasters are professionals at kicking back. And Bostonians are no exception. Join the crowd from May 26 – 28 at the Harvard Athletic Complex to enjoy not only the best music, but the best live comedy, as well.
