I think we can all agree that 2020 has kicked our butts. There’s no question about that, for it has pretty much been a year in quarantine. For some people, this quarantine has given them more time to focus on themselves and improve different areas of themselves and their lives. However, if you are like me, it has just given you a good reason to do nothing, and having classes online has only further implemented that.
Now, don’t hate me for saying this, but it’s time to ditch the sweatpants, messy buns, and cheez-its. It’s time to start waking up and making it to your desk for those early morning zoom meetings instead of doing them in your bed. It’s time to start working on self-care, giving yourself a nice relaxing face mask now and then. It’s time to start going to those appointments at the gym that you keep missing, and it’s time to start giving your body a little more nutrition than the snacks have to offer.
Here’s a list of things that could help get you back in the swing of things and improve your self-care:
- Do a simple face mask once a week
- Develop a morning and nighttime routine (something as simple as skincare)
- Read a book (or HC)
- Go to the gym- even for just 30 minutes
- Go for a walk with your besties (PRO TIP- walks around campus are A+)
- Make a healthy meal with your roommates
- Spend time with your fav furry friend and/or family
