The Faces of Her Campus: Amara Johnson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCAT chapter.

My name is Amara Johnson and I am proud to announce that I am the 2018-2019 Her Campus Vice President. I am a junior multimedia Journalism student. I hope that through our articles you will get a glimpse of what student life is like at North Carolina A&T. I tend to write about self-care and being your best self. This year, I plan to do the same, but I will also add more articles about my passion, film.

What influenced you to join Her Campus?

I joined Her Campus to get more experience with writing. As a journalism student, I believe every writing opportunity is beneficial.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years, I see myself working for a successful television network as a writer or director. I also see myself already winning many different awards. I see myself living in Los Angeles or New York.

What’s your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is to regret not going after a dream. I never want to say that I just settled.

What’s the most important life lesson you’ve learned in undergrad so far?

The most important life lesson that I’ve learned in undergrad was to appreciate the people who are there for you. Do not take them for granted. Some people try to impress the people that are not going to be there for them when things get hard.

I am Alexis Hooper, President of the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University chapter of Her Campus.
