When I think of shopping on a budget, Kohl’s is the first thing that always comes to mind. I know, some of you are reading this and thinking “Kohl’s, really?” Yes, really. Where else would you go for designers like Vera Wang, Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez, and so much more. When shopping at Kohl’s, you also get the benefit of knowing that there is always some kind of sale going on within the store. In addition to the sale prices you are paying, there are often coupons for an extra savings. However, beware that some of the products are excluded from coupons – Don’t worry though, we’ll cover all of that. Now, here are your hacks to shopping at Kohl’s:
- Don’t be afraid of shopping the clearance. We often fear the clearance sections of stores. There’s always a feeling of something being wrong with the product for the price of it. However, at Kohl’s that is not always the case. They clearance most the items within the store to keep up with the latest trends and seasons. The store changes daily. They also clearance based on size, color, and style so not all the time everything is going to be on clearance. Don’t let anything stop you from searching though because you can find things for seventy percent off the ticket price. Keep this in mind for after the holidays, you won’t be disappointed.
- Save time, don’t wait in line! Kohl’s offers a special program that allows you to go online, and if your nearest location has it in stock, you can order it online to pick up in store. All you do is wait for your confirmation email that your order has been processed and is ready for pickup. Once you get to the store, you have the privilege of parking in the reserved parking for Store Pickup spots, and go to Customer Service and let them know you are there to pick up an order you placed. An associate will come over and confirm your pick, and you will be on your way in no time. Two things to keep in mind are that you must remember to bring your confirmation email with you to pick up the order, and when ordering online to pick up in store, you get the privilege of using online exclusive coupons.
- Download the Kohl’s Mobile App! The Kohl’s App has it all; a wallet to store all your coupons and Kohl’s Cash, Kohl’s Pay which allows you to use your Kohl’s credit card without having it with you, and your own personal price checker. It doesn’t get any better than that. If you do not see your size in something, just pull out your cell phone and go to the app. From the app you can also order items to either pick up in another location or if you order on the app to ship to your house, it is free shipping if you are in the store.
- Spend fifty dollars or more and receive ten dollars in Kohl’s Cash! Kohl’s typically gives Kohl’s cash during major sales throughout the weekends and some times during the week. Some times, they even have five dollars in Kohl’s Cash for every twenty-five spent or even fifteen dollars in Kohl’s Cash for every fifty dollars spent. There is no minium to spend to redeem your Kohl’s Cash, just be aware of the dates on the Kohl’s Cash because the stores cannot take Kohl’s Cash once it has expired. The Kohl’s Cash works on all merchandise within in the store, and can score you some great deals on your shopping trip.
- Apply for a Kohl’s Charge or become a Kohl’s Reward member! Having a Kohl’s charge can get you great deals including Kohl’s Charge exclusive coupons such as twenty-five to thirty percent off your purchase when you apply along with twelve times throughout the year, and special offers like free shipping for online purchases. However, if you aren’t looking to open a credit card, the Kohl’s Yes to You Rewards program is for you. For every dollar spent in the store or online, you receive a point and once you reach up to one hundred points, you receive five dollars in Kohl’s Cash. There are also some weekends where they offer triple points for every dollar spent. Once you reach the one hundred point mark, you will receive an email with the Kohl’s Cash in the beginning of the next month. The Kohl’s Cash from the rewards program does not expire until the last day of each month, after that it is no longer valid. However, if you have the mobile app, the Kohl’s Cash will automatically go there, and you will receive notifications to remind you to spend it before it is too late.
