How to Make Your Dorm Room Cute and Cozy for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Muhlenberg chapter.

It’s that time of the year again! We are in the heart of Fall, and I couldn’t be more excited. With the leaves changing and the air getting crisper, I know you’ll probably want to spice up your room and make it cozy for this season. Here are some ways to achieve a cute and cozy Fall-themed room, on a budget.

Put a Wreath On Your Door

You can get these at places like HomeGoods, Jo-Ann Fabric, and TJ-Maxx for around $20. Or if you’re feeling creative, you can make your own with the help of Pinterest. Wreaths are a great way to welcome guests into your room and spice up a boring door.

Fall String Lights

Why have regular string lights when you could buy fall-themed ones? These are great because fall colors are generally warmer which always make a room feel extra cozy! Kohl’s, Pottery Barn, and Party City sell beautiful and affordable string lights.

Scent Diffuser

Who wouldn’t want their dorm room to smell like Fall? Since candles are prohibited in dorms, another way to add scent to a room is by using a scent diffuser.

Chunky Blankets

When it gets chilly outside, chunky blankets are a great way to feel cozy and bundled up. Pottery Barn sells great chunky blankets, but they can be quite expensive so you can’t go wrong with Bed, Bath, & Beyond or Target!

Decorate With Small Pumpkins

Pick up some adorable pumpkins at a local farm. You could decorate them if you want, or you could simply just leave them as they are and scatter them around your room
