How did the company get started?
We all live together. Zack had screen printed in high school, and we knew there was a demand for screen printed clothing on a college campus. A few of us are business majors so we really wanted to put our schooling into action and start up our own company.
Why “Spartan Dawg Screen Printing”?
Being proud Michigan State students, we wanted to tie our company into MSU.
How long have you been in business?
We started printing last fall and have been growing as well as gaining experience ever since. Started from the bottom and now we’re here.
Do you hope to continue your business after graduation?
Yes, we are currently looking into getting a warehouse so we can continue to grow our business after graduation. We are also branching out to provide more than t-shirts. We can print on sweatshirts, yoga pants, koozies and more!
What was the most creative shirt created by your company?
Last fall we were asked to make shirts for the Bacardi girls saying:
“It’s not a party without Bacardi”
What types of events or clubs do you make shirts for?
Bar crawls, school organizations, MSU Accounting Department, local fraternities and sororities, and football game day t-shirts. We did a MSU vs. U of M football shirt this year that Spartans loved.

Why not support local, fellow students, who are working hard to do something with their degrees. “We really strive to be personal with all our orders and provide the best possible service. Being a student run business, this gives us a better understanding of our customers and what they are looking for in a shirt order.”
