My Favorite Cream Blushes That Give Me That Spring Glow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

If I had to pick only one makeup item to use the rest of my life, it would be a hard toss-up between mascara, blush, and concealer, but blushes are my definite winner in the spring. I love the fresh, dewy, sun-kissed look it gives to my cheeks, and cream blushes are definitely better at achieving that look compared to powder blush. Below are some of my personal favorites that have a variety of shades, feel nice on the skin, and will help achieve that pink spring look.

Milk Lip + Cheek: $30.00, 1 oz

Milk Makeup is known for having clean and natural products, which just adds to my list of great things about this brand. These cream blush sticks can also be used as lipstick or eyeshadow, making them travel-friendly. My personal favorite is the shade Dusty Rose, as it gives my skin the perfect rosy flush without looking blotchy or too pink.

Kaja Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush: $24.00, 0.17 oz

I won’t lie, I bought this blush solely for its packaging. It is so cute and has a built in heart shaped-stamp that is meant to be stamped on your cheeks and then blended out with your fingers. This is technically a cushion blush, but it gives off the same dewy look as cream blushes. This blush gives off a very natural glow and has seven shades, ranging from warm browns to light corals.

Glossier Cloud Paint: $18.00, 0.33 oz

This is possibly the cream blush that started the hype over the natural sun-kissed look, Glossier introduced their cream blushes early on, and they have been very popular ever since. It is very different from other cream blushes because this one is very sheer and has a gel-like consistency. It is a cult favorite for a reason and is highly recommended for beginners in makeup because it is buildable and easy to blend. I would recommend this blush to someone who feels that they have textured skin, as this blush does not emphasize pores or texture.

Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush: $21.00, 0.17 oz

Rare Beauty, though new to the makeup game, is already making a strong impression in the beauty industry. Selena Gomez’s new makeup line focuses on embracing natural beauty, and these blushes are the epitome of their brand. These blushes blend onto the cheeks and give off a natural glow that looks like second skin. This cream blush works for any skin type and is vegan without parabens.

I hope you decide to try some of these blushes!
