Apparently the books and movies, and the drooling over burly men who change into werewolves are not enough for some people. Some have now begun a new diet that has dieters eating according to the lunar calendar. The diet is growing in popularity amongst celebrities like Madonna and Demi Moore.

According to moonconnection.com the diet is supposed to work with liquids in your body like it does with the ocean’s gravitational pull. The site claims that if you take advantage of the moons gravitational power, it can help you clean your body and loose weight.

The Lunar Diet is said to help you lose up to six pounds in a days time, but most likely will lose up to two pounds a day. This is what makes the “werewolf” diet so appealing—super fast results!

The diet is made up of two different options:

  • The basic moon diet plan consists of a 24-hour fasting day in which you consume only water and juice. It must take place during either the full moon or the new moon. During the fasting day your body is cleansed of toxins, and you can lose up to 6 lbs of water weight in one day.

  • The extended moon diet plan begins with a fasting day on a full moon, as described by the basic moon diet plan, then provides additional guidelines for weight loss and healthy eating during each of the major phases of the moon.

Due to the diets work with liquids in the body, it is suggested to consume mostly liquids like freshly squeezed juice or soups. It is always important to consult a doctor before starting a new diet.
