At some point in life, you look around and set some standards for the people you surround yourself with — self-educating, respectful, kind, and caring are some characteristics that are important to me. There are some things that are non-negotiable and if you support them in any way shape or form, then I can’t associate with you, even if you’re family. Unfortunately, there are many things that the President of the United States has said and done that are simply deplorable, in my opinion, for anyone to say or do. So, if you support Trump then I simply cannot associate with you. I hope you understand.

He is Sexist

President Trump has been caught on many occasions being overtly sexist, as a woman I find this very offensive and I would hope anyone else who cares about women would too. It seems quite apparent that he simply views us as objects. Here’s one quote by President Trump, “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media writes as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful piece of ass.” He has also admitted to going backstage to Miss Universe pageants to watch women change, a clear abuse of power. In a 2005 interview, he said, “I’m allowed to go in… I’m inspecting it… You know they’re standing there with no clothes.” And let’s not forget that he said, “You have to treat them [women] like shit.”

He is Racist

In 1973, the Nixon administration sued Trump for refusing to rent to black people. Then in 1991, Trump said, “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kinds of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day… I think that [black] guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is.” Oh, and don’t forget in 2016 Trump regularly retweeted material from white supremacists and neo-Nazis during his campaign.

He is Xenophobic

First of all, he refers to the Coronavirus as the “China virus” and amidst a global pandemic, he is continuing deportations, sending people who may have been exposed to the Coronavirus to countries that are not prepared to receive them. He is also obsessed with building a wall to keep Mexicans out of the US while also denying asylum seekers their legal rights at the US-Mexico border. Under the Trump administration, ICE has been accused of forced sterilizations, a disgusting act that fits with Trump’s poor treatment of immigrants.

He is Homophobic

On more than one occasion he has spoken out against same-sex marriage. In a 2000 interview for The Advocate, he said, “I think the institution of marriage should be between a man and a woman.” He tried to ban transgender people from serving in the military, something that is clearly against constitutional rights. Also, he has recently removed protection that prohibited discrimination against transgender people in healthcare, another a violation of human rights.

He is a Pedophile

On more than one occasion, President Trump has been caught commenting on under-aged girls. He commented on how then 12-year-old Paris Hilton was beautiful and told 14-year-old girls that he’d be “dating” them in a few years. When his daughter was one year old, he commented on her boobs, imagining what they might look like. One other thing, he was friends with Jeffrey Epstein. Trump said, “I’ve known Jeffrey Epstein for 15 years, terrific guy, it is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them on the younger side.”

He is a Rapist

He has at least 26 credible accusations of sexual misconduct. That should be enough to not support this man. If you owned a business, I’m sure you would never hire someone with these many accusations, but here he is – the President of the United States.

These are only my top six reasons for not supporting Donald Trump, but I only needed one. I would hope that these reasons would be enough for you to do the same. The POTUS is not only the leader of our country but also the face of our nation. Right now, the US is the laughingstock of the world. So, if after this you still decide to support this man, please delete me from your socials; thank you.
