This holiday season is like no other, after a year full of stress and unexpected events, a pandemic, and a stressful election. We’ve all been waiting for this time of year. There are still some ways to have fun this season while staying safe!

Drive-by Lights

Long before the pandemic, many neighborhoods would have competitions for whose house looked the best decked up with lights. This is a great tradition to revisit this year especially because it is safe and just a drive-by event.

Thanksgiving Picnic

Instead of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, try to have a thanksgiving picnic to have a safer outdoor atmosphere with just as much fun and food!

Outdoor Wreath Making Gathering

For this event, make sure to check the weather. This is a fun event to do with family and friends. A decorated table with all the wreath making supplies can unleash everyone’s inner creativity. Place the chairs six feet apart to follow the CDC social distancing guidelines.

Thanksgiving Delivery

Even if all your loved ones aren’t around you this thanksgiving, you can drop off food for each other and set up a virtual Thanksgiving dinner.

S’mores and Christmas Cookie Bonfire

Since indoor gatherings over ten people are highly discouraged, try to have everyone who attends bring their own Christmas cookies and s’mores and everyone can sit around the fireplace, six feet apart, and cozy!

Virtual Christmas Marathon

Since many loved ones can’t fly across the country for their Christmas family celebrations, try to host a virtual Christmas movie marathon through Netflix Party. The whole family can get comfortable in their Christmas pajamas!
