As someone with a love for summer, I live for shorts and anything cropped, so the winter season makes getting dressed a challenge. Whenever I don’t know what to wear, these simple but stylish pieces are my go-to. They’re super versatile and make it seem like you put a lot of effort into your outfit, even if you didn’t. They can be dressed either up or down, so you’ll have something to wear for any occasion that requires you to step foot outside the house.

Chunky sweaters

If you’re someone who is always cold, then a chunky sweater is a must-have! They are so cozy and comfortable to wear, especially when the weather starts to turn colder. Neutral colors such as gray, black, or cream are the best for a basic winter piece since they match just about everything!

Cozy knit hats

This super cute cold-weather accessory not only shields your head from the cold but also helps in concealing some occasional bad hair days. My favorite type of knit hat is the ones with fluffy pom-poms on top.

Teddy coat

Wearing this is like being enveloped by a soft, fuzzy blanket. It’ll feel almost like you never left your bed! A coat like this is perfect for the freezing winter temps because it won’t fail in keeping you nice and warm. They also come in all different colors so you can add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.

Comfy cardigan

There are many different varieties of cardigans to choose from, so you can be sure to find one that fits your style. Whether they be cropped or oversized, cardigans are great for layering over a t-shirt or turtleneck and make for an easy outfit.

Boots

A quality pair of boots is a necessity for traipsing through the snow and keeping your feet warm. Make sure your boots have soles that grip the ground because there’s nothing worse than slipping on a patch of black ice!

If you live in a colder climate, these clothing items are an absolute necessity to your wardrobe!
