As a busy college student, it can be easy to lose sight of your motivation and stay on top of your tasks. Here are five small habits you can incorporate to increase productivity.

Make your bed, EVERY DAY

You may have heard this before, but making your bed is a simple way to start off your day with a completed task. By taking this extra minute in the morning, it can help you feel like you can accomplish anything!

Give yourself at least 30 minutes unplugged before bed

When you spend your day attached to technology all day long, it can be hard to shut off your mind before bed. Taking time before bed with no screens or TV can help with your nighttime routine and can help you sleep better. You can use this time to read a book, journal or just have some time for yourself!

Time yourself on tasks you don’t want to do

When there is something you really do not want to do, it can seem impossible to start. Giving yourself a time limit or challenging yourself to complete something in a certain amount of time can help get things done quickly and help keep distractions out.

Reward Yourself

With that being said, use rewards for doing things you really didn’t want to do but did anyways! I’m not saying get yourself a huge gift every time you do something, but simple things like a Starbucks trip, a face mask or even getting your nails done!

Make Small Goals

Making small goals can boost productivity immensely. When goals are smaller, it is easier to feel like you are accomplishing things. It is also easier to make time for things that do not look so time-consuming.

By incorporating one or all of these small habits, it will help boost your productivity and get stuff done!
