Let’s be honest, this year has definitely not been the best. With a worldwide pandemic and all that goes along with it, we haven’t had the chance to really relax, or do something that brings us joy. That is why this year, I am breaking one of my big rules: no celebrating Christmas until AFTER the Thanksgiving meal is done.
With all that is going on, I figured that I could use some good ol’ Christmas joy, and I wasn’t going to wait until the end of November; therefore, I am starting the celebrations now. Decorations are going up, Christmas cookies and hot chocolate are being made, and all the Christmas movies (good and bad) are being streamed.
Christmas movies are probably one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. While some movies are great and timeless (A Christmas Story, Home Alone, The Polar Express, etc.), some spark joy in other ways. I’m talking about the Hallmark movies, the new Netflix Christmas movies, and every other Christmas movie full of cliches, cringe acting, and pretty much the same exact plot in every film. THESE are the movies that my family and I love to watch each year, and more and more of them are being made each year.
