Winter Is Coming: Ways to Decorate Your Dorm for the Holidays

The best and happiest time of the year is right around the corner which means it’s time to get into the holiday spirit! One of the best ways to get ready for the holidays is decorating, but being away at college could make this a little difficult. However, there are many different and simple ways you can make your dorm room festive for these upcoming holidays! Here are a few ideas from Pinterest that will inspire you: 

1. A mini Christmas tree. A mini Christmas tree is a simple touch you can add to your dorm for it look festive for the holidays! Whether it is decorated or not, it gives off some holiday spirit. You can find mini Christmas trees anywhere such as Target or Amazon, sometimes even outside of your local grocery store! 

2. Firefly lights/Christmas lights. Hanging up lights around your room or on your desk always gives off bright and cheery holiday vibes. Whether it’s firefly lights or Christmas lights, they are great at adding some Christmas sparkle to your dorm!

3. Ornaments. Whether you want to hang ornaments on your mini Christmas tree or around your dorm, either works and does the job of making your room look festive! You can usually find ornaments in different shapes or sizes anywhere. 

4. A Wreath. A small wreath to hang on the outside of your door is always a nice touch for the holiday season and a pleasant Christmas greeting for those who walk by your room! 

5. Small stockings. Hanging small stockings for you and roommate is always a nice touch of Christmas and brings a sense of home into your dorm! 

6. Festive throw pillows and blankets. Having festive throw pillows and blankets is a comfy and cozy way to decorate for the holidays!
