As this brutal winter comes to an end, spring is quickly approaching! Say goodbye to the bitter cold, and welcome the light breeze and warm sun. Spring is a weird time for weather because you don’t need to layer your clothes like you would in winter, but it also isn’t hot enough to bring out the daisy dukes. So how does one dress for such a confusing time?

Here’s how you can update your wardrobe for spring:

1. MAXI SKIRTS (with a slit of course!)

Maxi Skirts are a perfect staple for spring because they’re light and airy for the warmer days but can also be used on those cooler days when the wind might hit your legs and send those shivers down your spine! Maxi skirts can be dressed up with a cute corset top and some strappy heels or dressed down with a graphic tee and oversized cardigan with your favorite pair of sneakers.

2. SHACKETS

I know what you must be thinking… shackets might sound like a thing of the past, but we shouldn’t leave them behind forever! In the most recent months, shackets have been making the ultimate comeback and are the perfect spring essential. They aren’t too heavy like your winter jackets but are good enough to keep you warm on those breezy spring days. You also won’t need to wear anything on top of it since it’s great on its own (both a shirt and a “jacket”).

3. GRAPHIC TEES

Although graphic tees can be worn all year round, they look especially cute in the spring. They’re lightweight but cover up the parts you don’t want exposed until the hot summer sun comes out! Again, they can be styled in various ways such as with a maxi skirt like mentioned above or french tucked with some mom jeans and booties. The choices are endless my friends!

4. MATCHING SHORT & SWEATER SETS

Matching sets have taken over the fashion world, being both cute and comfy! They make a great spring staple because you get the best of both worlds – some breeze for your legs and some warmth for your upper body. Perfect for a quick errand run or an outdoor brunch with friends!

These are just some of the ways you can update your wardrobe for the spring. Don’t forget to add some fun spring tones to your closet to brighten things up!
