Spring has sprung! Spring season is officially here and while we’re waiting for the trees and flowers to bloom, we can do our part in transitioning into this beautiful season by switching up our routine and starting fresh. I’m going to share some fresh and new scents that are essential for the spring that can help make you feel rejuvenated and truly invite the spring into your home during these crazy times.

White Gardenia

This is my all-time favorite scent for the spring! When I think of spring, I think of white gardenia. I’m not a huge fan of floral scents but gardenia is the perfect mixture of sweet, soft and fresh. I enjoy the “White Gardenia” candle from Bath and Body Works which consists of classic white gardenia, sweet apple water, bamboo and white woods. It truly smells like a garden!

Cotton

If you’re someone who’s into classic fresh and clean scents, then cotton is perfect for you! Cotton has an earthy and musky undertone but is mainly very subtle and soft. You can’t go wrong with cotton fragrances for that clean and soft vibe; that’s why cotton fragrances are usually always associated with fresh laundry! Spring is all about starting fresh so this is the perfect scent to kick off the new season.

Mint

What other scent screams ‘fresh’? Mint is often associated with the wintertime as it’s really cool, brisk and refreshing but I think mint, specifically spearmint or tea tree, is great for spring! It’s natural, soft and can be really invigorating. Not into mint? Go for either an essential oil or perfume that carries mint as a top note, that way it will only last for about 5-15 minutes. Sage is another good alternative for mint. It’s not as strong and invigorating but it still has that freshness to it.

Citrus

Any citrus/citrus-esque scents are bomb for the springtime! You can never go wrong with a fruity fragrance during this time of year. Popular spring citrus scents are lemon, orange, peach and strawberry. Lemon and orange are the most “clean” smelling of the citrus scents and can be good for kitchens. Peach and strawberry are the sweeter of the citrus fragrances and are great for living rooms and bedrooms! If you’re looking for a body fragrance, peach and strawberry with hints of vanilla are great for a sweet and playful vibe. Champagne Toast, Peach Bellini, Strawberry Pound Cake and Sun-Washed Citrus from Bath and Body Works are perfect spring candles! If you’re into stronger scents, go for Champagne Toast or Peach Bellini.

Lavender

Lavender is a soft and calming fragrance mostly used for calming anxiety and improving sleep. Diffuse lavender essential oils in your room or pick up a body lotion that contains lavender in it, that way you can carry it with you wherever you go! This soft smelling fragrance will soothe and relax you all spring long. I love lavender essential oil from the brand Woolzies. It’s 100% eco-friendly, pure and can be used in a diffuser or on skin!
