We’re always looking for that perfect casual outfit that can be thrown together and look trendy and cute. There’s one basic piece that comes to mind when I think of how to make an outfit more trendy and versatile. A basic white T-shirt, they come in many different styles and the simplicity of it makes for the perfect blank canvas. Styling these shirts can be easy and here are some ways to help you out. Pair with denim, colors or prints, jackets and of course accessories.
- Pairing with denim

Denim is such a staple to style a casual outfit with, it goes with everything and pairing it with a simple white tee is such a classic look. Whether you’re wearing jeans, a jean jacket or jean shorts adding the white tee gives such a clean vibe. It’s a great piece to break up monochromatic looks and give a pop of something different. Denim is my favorite piece to style a white t-shirt with, it’s is my go-to outfit.

Colors and prints are intimidating but if you style them right then you have the perfect outfit. Prints and colors are very trendy and pairing a basic white tee with any type of print or color is going to make the material less intimidating to work with. For example, say you have a flowy leopard print skirt, pair it with a white tee! You can tie the shirt in a knot for a more styled look or you can tuck the shirt for a more laid back look, either way by adding the white you toned down the print and the whole outfit flows together as one piece.

By throwing a jacket on top of a white t-shirt you can change the entire vibe of your look. If you throw a denim jacket on top you create a very easy laid back look, if you put a blazer on top you make your look more professional and if you throw a leather jacket on top you create a more edgy look.

Accessories are my favorite thing. Jewelry, shoes, belts, bags, anything that you can just piece together is so much fun to work with. Say you have some jeans on with a white t-shirt, the outfit is classic and you can’t go wrong with that but try throwing on some mules, a black belt and some gold jewelry. That outfit just became a little less casual and more trendy.
There are so many ways to take something so simple as a white t-shirt and spice it up to make a whole different look. You can keep the outfit casual or throw some accessories together and make a more put-together look. Whatever you do will be so much fun trying to find new ways to wear that simple white tee.
