My entire life I have always struggled with finding quality products that worked well with my skin. Most products contain perfumes or other chemicals that cause a reaction with my skin, especially when I am in the sun. Thankfully, I have finally found the right combination of products that work well with my skin (for now). Listed below is my usual skin routine:

Face Cleansers/Make-Up Remover:

My go-to makeup remover is Micellar Water since I do not wear a ton of makeup every day. I typically get the Garnier® SKINACTIVE™ Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Makeup Remover & Cleanser from Target because it is inexpensive and works really well. However, I do believe all Micellar Water is the same. If I wear a full face of makeup for an event or a special occasion, I do use makeup remover wipes instead of Micellar Water. My go-to makeup remover wipes are either Elf or the Neutrogena Cleansing Wipes. Both brands are inexpensive, work really well, and do not bother my skin.

When it comes to skin care, I use Truly Clear soap when I find my skin breaking out and I use Aveeno cleansing pads daily. The Aveeno cleansing pads keep my face clean and very clear for the most part.

Moisturizer:

Finding a quality moisturizer that actually kept my skin hydrated and clear was such a challenge for me until I stumbled across the brand Murad. Most moisturizers have some sort of perfume in it, which causes me to break out into hives, especially during the summer months. One month FabFitFun sent Murad’s Skin Perfecting moisturizer in my subscription box and I completely fell in love with it. It is on the more expensive side, retailing at $40.00 for 1.7 Fl OZ, but worth every penny in my opinion. It is so gentle and leaves my skin super soft and clear.

Tinted Moisturizer/ Foundation/Concealer

Usually I keep my make-up very natural during the week and only apply heavy make-up if I have a special occasion to attend. With that  being said, I only wear tinted moisturizer on a daily basis and sometimes concealer under my eyes when life is really beating me up! My favorite tinted moisturizer right now is TheBalm BalmShelter Tinted Moisturizer. It is so light weight and exactly the coverage I need while also being gentle on skin- I highly recommend!

As for foundation and concealer I stick to Tarte Shape Tape Foundation and Concealer. They are also not inexpensive but really do the job. ( If you are on the fence about trying  the Tarte Shape Tape collection, I recommend getting samples in Ulta or Sephora- I promise you will be hooked)

~After I apply the above products I usually use Elf setting powder since it is inexpensive and works well~

Setting Spray:

I was never a huge fan of setting sprays. I didn’t believe they actually did anything, I hated the feeling of spraying it on my face, and it almost always made my skin react (shocking). Recently my friend gifted me Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater and I figured I would give it a try. It honestly feels so nice on my skin and it leaves my skin hydrated after my make-up routine. I highly suggest trying this facial spray if you are in search for a good one!

Sheet Masks:

Lastly, I try to use at least one face mask a week to keep my skin hydrated, fresh, clear, and bright. 9/10 times I buy my sheet masks in Ulta, but I always switch up the brands. I typically do not have a problem with face masks, as far as sensitivity goes, but I do have my favorite brands; Yes To, TONYMOLY, H2O, and GlamGlow.

If you are someone who struggles with sensitive skin like me, I feel for you! I hope, if you are still struggling to find products like I did for so long, that you take my recommended products into consideration and they work as well for you as they do for me.
