What Tea You Should Steep Based On Your Zodiac Sign

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MNSU chapter.

If you have ever wanted to start drinking tea, but didn’t know what brew is best for you, start off with the tea that goes perfect with your zodiac sign. Our zodiacs are a great way to get in touch with our higher-selves and our sixth sense. Each sign is so uniquely different that finding out what is best for you might be kinda hard. That is why I have put together a list of the style of tea that would best fit you according to your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Aries are bold, intuitive, and ambitious. They are never ones to back down from what they believe in. That is why a perfect steep of chocolate matcha green tea would do well hot or cold. This tea has a chocolate blended with a sweet matcha. This tea is high in caffeine to help an Aries stay on their toes!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Relaxation is key when it comes to Taurus. A perfect blend of green tea and tropical coconut is the way to go for a soothing beverage. Hot or cold, this tea is sure to calm the nerves and relax your mind.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Gemini’s are go, go, go and they need a tea to keep up with their busy schedule. Black tea may seem boring or generic, but black tea has the highest caffeine content with about 60-80 milligrams per 8 oz. Try this tea with a dash of honey to sweeten the drink!

Cancer (June 21-August 22)

Because Cancer is the dedicated ocean sign, it makes sense to pair this zodiac with a fruity brew. A pineapple ginger green tea has the tropical vibes and the tang of ginger that tastes perfect over ice or piping hot.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

Leo’s are considered one of the most highly-spirited and psychically gifted of the signs. White tea is the most natural and simple of teas. White tea is delicate and dried outdoors in the natural sunlight giving this tea the sensation of being both sweet and sharp.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Though is may sound intimidating to try, Rooibos teas comes from the leaves called Aspalathus linearis which are grown in the mountainous regions of Cederburg in South Africa. This tea has a nutty flavor with hints of caramel, honey, and vanilla. Because Virgos tend to be deeply rooted and down to earth, this tea has the perfect pair of an earthy smell and a hint of spicy flavor.

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Libra’s usually like to have a sense of harmony and there is no better tea to drink than oolong. Oolong tea is a little stronger than white tea, but nowhere near as strong as black tea. It seems to have the perfect balance of the two most popular brews with a floral aroma and sweet aftertaste.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

A fierce cinnamon green tea is best suited for a Scorpio. With their passionate personality and enigmatic nature, a hot cup of cinnamon green tea is perfect for the start or end of your day. The warm undertone of cinnamon pairs nicely with the earthy natural flavor of green tea.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

While Sagittarius are always looking for adventure, the tea fitted well for them is a peach hibiscus loose leaf blend. This tea is perfect over ice or hot depending on the day. No matter the season, the peach and hibiscus blend will make you daydream of summer adventures.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Capricorns are well-rounded and pair well with a tea that is as adjusted as them. Spiced-berry green tea has the best blend of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and spices that makes it fitting for a Capricorn.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

Because Aquarians are deemed the most eccentric and free-spirited of the signs, it only seems fit that the tea that pairs the best is a blueberry merlot tea. The aroma has strong waves of sweet and tart berries with a spicy undertone and a hint of sage.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

The last of the signs is the most knowledgeable, learning from others and growing from the constant division suits well with a simple black rose tea. The sweet floral taste blends well with the tart black base tea. This blend is great hot or cold and with an added splash of oat milk for a creamy brew.

Some great brands to try for your perfect blend are Tea Forte, The Republic of Tea, Tazo, Numi Organic, and Good Earth Tea. Remember to follow the directions for the amount of tea per 8oz cup (for loose leaf tea) and steep time for the best results. Don’t be afraid to add some honey or milk to any brew and try new things!
