As a college student it can be easy to question if you’re on the right path.  There are so many decisions you have to make while you’re in school and it can be scary not knowing the outcome.  Even after college, we’re going to have to make big decisions that will either put us on the path that we want to be on or lead us astray.  As decision makers, it’s difficult to decide which choice will best allow us to reach our goals and aspirations.  Here are some things that I think that you can pay attention to in order to know you’re on the right path.

  1. You enjoy yourself

This may seem obvious but sometimes you don’t realize how much you enjoy something until you stop doing it or do something else.  I think it’s very beneficial to do some self reflection on what you’re doing and if you feel like you’re enjoying yourself and it makes you happy then you should continue with it.

  1. You’re setting and reaching your goals

Setting goals is such an underrated method of motivation.  Putting goals on paper has always made me want to accomplish them more.  Accomplishing them is even more rewarding.  If you’re setting and reaching your goals then you are definitely on the right path.

  1. You feel satisfied and thankful

Like I said earlier, if you take some time to reflect and find that you’re happy with your decisions and where you are in life, then you’re probably on the right path.

  1. You care less about what people think

If you are focused on the path that you want to be on, you won’t worry about what others think.  The only thing that matters is your goals and the less you focus on what others think the more you can focus on those.

  1. You’re motivated and excited

If you feel excited and motivated to continue on then you’re probably doing all of the above on this list.  Motivation and excitement are essential when you want to reach your goals and if you’re reaching your goals then you’re on the right path.

Like I said, I know that it can be difficult to make the right decision and to know if you’re on the right path.  Self reflection is key to knowing what is really best for you.  If you don’t meet everything on this list, do not worry.  It just means that you have some adjusting to do.  The important thing to remember is that if you’re happy and satisfied with where you are in life, then you’re most likely doing something right.
