This just in! Actress, model, celebrity homemaker and fashion trendsetter, Blake Lively, has announced to the world that she and husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first child. The power couple married in 2012 and reside in Bedford, New York. Blake and Ryan are thrilled with the pregnancy and always knew they wanted to start a family together. Blake said, “If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would.” They both come from large families and are eager to keep the tradition going.
Blake Lively is notably known for her role as Serena van der Woodsen on the hit television series, ‘Gossip Girl.’ The role made Blake a household name and she soared straight into instant stardom. Gossip Girl is based on the bestselling book series by Cecily von Ziegesar. The show revolves around the privileged lives of private college preparatory students on Manhattan’s iconic Upper East Side. It is on the UES; where they live, attend private prep school, throw parties, shop, indulge in only the finest things and of course – take part in scandal! All the juicy details of the scandalous lives of the elite main characters are broadcast to everyone by an anonymous blogger who goes by Gossip Girl. The successful show ran from 2007-2012, and will forever remain iconic. There is even a Gossip Girl Sites tour offered in New York City that takes fans to a variety of different filming locations and hangouts of their favorite characters.
Beautiful and glowing Blake confirmed her pregnancy on her website Preserve where she posted a photo of herself posing with her baby bump. The actress wrote, “With a new baby on the way there is so much to do!” Explaining, “But before experiencing the joy of 3am screams, seemingly impossible amounts of poop and having a favorite shirt covered in reflux…there are presents to open, onesies to dye, there is cake to serve, advice to be shared and all around celebration to be had.” The mother to be also launched a ‘Celebration of Family’ section on her website, which included pictures of expectant mothers – including the new addition of herself.
Only a week after Blake Lively posted her personal photographs attached with the exciting pregnancy news, E! reported the Sam & Lavi skirt and blouse she wore, “has sold out.” Blake, the ever-prominent style icon, will continue to top the best dressed lists even while pregnant. As soon as her bundle of joy arrives, the baby is sure to take after mom and be the most stylish baby on the East Coast.
The actress made her first red carpet debut, where she is sporting a baby bump, at the Golden Heart Awards on October 16th held in New York City. She looked flawless in a Michael Kors 2015 Resort floor-length gown, she radiated happiness. Blake definitely has that pregnant glow!
