You can catch Conor on any given day channeling his inner Michael Scott and jamming to classic 90’s pop songs with no shame. Casually jumping out of planes? No problem. Flashing the parent’s section? Been there, done that. His sense of adventure is sure to drive him all across the world, including places as far as the arctic. Not much is standing in his way of achieving his dreams, except for the occasional run in with a dreaded cockroach. Conor is quite the catch, but ladies if you want to get his attention make sure to practice good manners and stock up on parkas, because this guy is headed to Chicago.Year: SophomoreMajor: FinanceHometown: Nashville, TennesseeRelationship status: SingleCampus involvement: Alpha Kappa Psi, Chi Psi, tour guide

Favorites…

  • TV show: The Office
  • Song: Clique by Jay Z (Yes, I know every word.)
  • Food: Italian and Thai
  • Uptown bar: Side Bar
  • Holiday: Christmas (how could you not, it’s the happiest time of the year)
  • Ice cream flavor: Grater’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip
  • Childhood movie: Lion King

Most outrageous thing you’ve done to try and impress a girl?Being from Nashville, one of the country music capitals in the world, I might embellish a bit if a girl is a fan of country music. She says her favorite band, and I reply casually, yeah of course I know them, we met over coffee other day actually.

Who do you most admire and why?Hands down my dad, I’ve always considered him my role model. He is the hardest working guy I know and has achieved everything he has in life by himself. We get along very well because of our similar personalities, naturally both super chill and cool of course.

Most embarrassing moment?Back home I coached the youth swim team (five and six year olds). I also raced competitively, and in one of my races I got out of the water and didn’t realize my swimsuit was ripped down the entire back. Everyone in the stands got a pretty good look at me to say the least (including the little kids I taught and their parents!)

Scariest moment in your life?I live in Chi Psi lodge and recently a couple guys tried to break into our house and play ping pong at three in the morning. It might not sound that scary, but nobody had any idea what was going on. They were breaking through the windows, ripping the screens, and making all sorts of noises.  Everyone started running around trying to figure out what was happening.

What are you most afraid of?Cockroaches. (Sorry ladies looks like Conor is not one of the guys you can call to come kill yours).

Favorite Miami memory so far?Last year one day it started snowing and didn’t stop until there was about 6 inches on the ground. A couple of my friends from my dorm and I went outside and played in the snow until obscene hours in the morning. Growing up in Nashville, snow was not a regular occurrence so it a treat being able to enjoy it for once.

Guilty pleasures?90’s pop music. Last year we had to do serenades for Chi Psi, and they were all classic childhood throwbacks, since then it has just stuck.

Qualities you most admire in a girl?Sense of humor, intelligence, and down to earth.

Celebrity crush?Jennifer Lawrence

If you could be one Disney character who would it be?Simba from the Lion King (only suiting given his favorite childhood movie)

If today were the last day of your life, how would you spend it?Doing something crazy with family and friends, like skydiving or base-jumping. Obviously we would be binge eating my favorite foods in-between each adventure.

Post grad plans?Get a job, preferably in Chicago. I visit Chicago quite often since I have family members there and my sister goes to DePaul University. Although I don’t consider myself a city guy, Chicago is one of my exceptions. I would work there for a couple years as a financial advisor (my dream job) and then go on to get my MBA.

Dream vacation?Somewhere very far north, around the artic. I would love to go and be able to see the northern lights.

Biggest pet peeve?People who bite their nails and people who chew with their mouth open. I would also have to consider myself a grammar Nazi. A slip up here and there isn’t bad, but people should be able to know the difference between your and you’re and their/ they’re/ there.

Would you rather…

  • Live one 1,000 year life or 10 100 year lives? Ten 100 year lives. Living one 1,000 year life I could find myself getting complement. Having the opportunity to live 10 lives would push me to do more things and get outside my comfort zone.
  • Have hiccups for the rest of your life or feel like you need to sneeze and not be able to? Hiccups. I think that over time I could become accustomed to them and learn not to notice it, but not being able to sneeze would just be torturous.
  • Have no knees or no elbows? No knees. I think that I would need my arms to do more things, and I could adjust easier to sitting and walking without knees.
  • Always have to say everything on your mind or never speak again? Say everything on your mind. I trust myself enough not to say anything too dramatic.
  • Get caught singing in the mirror or spying on your crush? Singing in the mirror, everybody has their moments of doing that so if they found me they couldn’t hold it against me.
  • Only be able to whisper or only be able to shout? Whisper. There is a time and place for shouting otherwise it is just obnoxious.
  • Have a missing finger or extra toe? Extra toe. It probably wouldn’t be that bad because I could easily cover it up and it wouldn’t get in the way that much.
