Dear me,
Look at us. The amount you have accomplished in these past four years are things we could have never imagined. I am so proud of you.Â
We are barely recognizable to the timid Manhattan College freshman back in 2019. Not only have we accomplished so much through these four years but our mind set has done a complete 180. You have truly put in the work for yourself.Â
First, reaching out to the counseling center for help moving on from past hardships. Losing mom was the hardest, and still is the hardest, thing to deal with, but we keep moving forward. Going to an outside source was extremely difficult, but so beneficial looking back.Â
Then, falling in love with working out to not only get in better shape but keeping our mind clear. It was a struggle at first, and took us a year or two to become consistent, but now look at you go. Proving to yourself you can get up and stick with it. Turning to a run or walk when things got tough instead of laying in bed has not been easy, but something we have been able to stick to.Â
Lastly, realizing our mind set of the negative has changed to looking for the good. Something mom had even written in her journal, “always enjoy every moment” and “find the good,” are things we remind ourself daily. This has allowed us to step into our confidence by getting jobs and holding positions in clubs on campus that we would never have considered before. And enjoying while also learning from every step.Â
You grew in ways you never could have imagined. Keep on doing you and always finding the good in each day.
I love you, I love me.
Xoxo, Becky
