Affordable Self Care At Disney Springs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lynn chapter.

I would define self-care as doing things that make you relax, bring you joy, and reset your mood. If you’re anything like me peek happiness involves going to Disney. However, going to Disney as many times as I would like is extremely expensive. A way cheaper and smarter alternative is going to Disney Springs. They offer an array of different shops, restaurants, and entertainment/activities. Here are my top affordable activities to do at Disney Springs.

People Watch With Drinks

Disney Springs has many various locations to sit and relax. My personal favorite spots are next to the lake to watch the boats go by. It also gives off a nice breeze during the summer months. It’s relatively secluded from people and the perfect spot to get away from the crowds. However, another amazing option is having a drink at Paradiso 37 during happy hours for $7 Margaritas and beer. Paradiso 37 is located on the main path of Disney Springs so it’s perfect for people watching.

Try Some Great Food

Disney Springs has 64 different restaurants and dining experiences set at a variety of price points. Some of my favorite locations to eat on a budget are Chicken guy, Blaze Pizza, and the various Food trucks and stands located all over Disney Springs. Chicken Guy is located on the side of Planet Hollywood. The quick service restaurant was started by Guy Fieri and features 22 signature sauces. Blaze Pizza is a pick your own toppings style restaurant. I highly recommend going to the food trucks. Their locations can vary, but most of the time they are next to Bongos. My favorite truck is 4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa. They serve the most Instagramable Taco Cones, they are a true work of art.

Sweet Spots

I can definitely say Disney Springs is a sweet tooths paradise. I don’t think you can go wrong with any sweet option at Disney. However, the best place to get classic Disney treats is the Candy Cauldron. Here you can find candy apples, kettle corn, cupcakes, cake pops, and so many more Disney iconic treats. I highly recommend getting a candy apple. They come in fun different characters and colors. They are also totally big enough to share and they will even cut it for you if you need.

Take Pictures

Throughout the season and holidays Disney Springs puts up back tops and photo spots to take pictures. There are also buildings and walls that make great backgrounds all over Disney Springs. My personal favorite spot to take pictures is this apartment looking stairway that’s located next to Zara.

Window Shop

My favorite self-care activity is window shopping. I love getting inspired by the window displays and seeing all the new products. Disney Springs has 99 shops and pop-ups and there is definitely something for everyone. I personally love to go around looking at all the different window displays to get inspiration for my next Disney looks.

I hope these tips and advice help you have a successful day at Disney Springs without spending to much money.
