- Stranger Things
Of course this list had to start with Stranger Things. It is not the first project Joe Keery has acted in however, I feel as though it’s probably his most famous. Steve Harrington is such a cool character, and the show writes his character development very well. If you haven’t watched Stranger Things, I highly recommend it. The storyline is entertaining and it is honestly just a really fun watch. It follows the story of four kids in the 80’a fighting interdimensional forces, and it’s a show that represents people that feel weird or like they are outcasts, and embraces that. This series can be found on Netflix.Â
- Cold Storage
Cold Storage just came out this year, and it is such a fun movie. Joe Keery plays the character Teacake, and it’s one of his best looks by far. If you like apocalypse style movies but also comedies this is just the movie for you. It follows the story of two employees of a storage unit company, and they discover something otherworldly while exploring the warehouse. This movie can be found on Amazon Prime.Â
- Free Guy
While the movie Free guy has been out for a little while it is still worth the watch. Joe Keery plays a character named Keys. He is a computer game programmer, which yes, sounds a little boring, but this is such a funny movie and it is totally worth the watch. It follows the story of an NPC game character and him discovering how to break out of the cycle of life he’s been stuck in. Ryan Renolds is the lead actor in the movie, and he does a great job, but if you’re a Joe Keery fan this is such a fun role to watch him play. This movie can be found on Disney + or Hulu. Â
- Fargo (Series)
The Fargo series has five seasons, and Joe Keery is in the last season. He plays a character named Gator Tillman, and he is a bit obnoxious. It is fun to see how Joe Keery plays this role, and it’s fun to watch the difference in his characters. This is definitely a hard to like character, so be prepared to have mixed feelings. He’s a deputy, but the son of a sheriff, and he emulates the nepo baby persona. Each season is a different group of characters that are involved in murder investigations. For the most part each season is unrelated, so if you just want to watch season five you wouldn’t miss any crucial information from past seasons. This series can be found on Hulu.Â
- Spree
Spree is a personal favorite of mine. It is such an entertaining watch and it has so many twists, turns, and surprises. It is a thriller movie with some gore, so if you aren’t into seeing blood you might wanna skip out on this one. Joe Keery does a phenomenal job in this movie as his character Kurt Kunkle. It follows the story of a youtuber wishing to rise to fame but as a second job he drives for Spree (which is like Uber). His plan to rise to fame is quite unconventional and you’ll have to watch the movie to see if he succeeds. This movie can be found on Amazon Prime or Tubi.
