College is a big jump for anyone, no matter where you came from. In high school, it might have seemed like all you did was go to school, do homework, and then go to bed. On the weekend, you may have been able to slip a little fun in, but high school took up most of your life for the past four year. Now that you are a college freshman, it seems like all you have is time, but the real question is… How do I manage my time?
Tip 1: Get your work done asap
Let’s all be real, procrastinating is what high school was all about. In high school you could watch TV, hang out with your friends: basically you could do whatever you wanted to. However, in high school, at the end of the day, your mom still bugged you to get your work done. Well, now you don’t have your mom here. Get your work done as soon as you can so you can have time to do what you really want.
Tip 2: Just do It
Don’t spend so much time thinking about doing something or stressing out about everything; just do it. If you spend all of your time worrying about getting things done, you won’t actually get anything accomplished.
Tip 3: Make Monday through Thursday work days
While still seeing your friends on the weekdays is important, spend most of your time getting your work done so you don’t have to worry about it during the weekend.

Tip 4: Fun on the Weekends
Make the weekends homework free and have fun. Whether your idea of fun is just hanging in the dorm with friends or going out on the town, always be sure to have fun. You are in college now, make the most of it.
