The Best Quarantine Workout Videos To Keep You Active

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

Being stuck at home for such a long period can seem extremely boring, and eventually you’re going to run out of Netflix shows to binge. However, it is so important to keep our minds and bodies healthy, especially because staying busy can take away from all the added stress and uncertainty surrounding this pandemic. Whenever I think about working out, it never sounds fun, but afterwards I always feel like a brand new person. I have been experimenting with different workout videos on YouTube to see which ones I like the most, and I’m going to give you my top five favorite fitness youtubers. All of these strong females compile intense workouts in 10 minutes or less, which makes the workouts quick and efficient, and definitely worth the burn!

1. Maddie Lymburner (MadFit on YouTube)

I am definitely a new MadFit fan, but I am so glad that a friend recommended her workout videos to me! Maddie keeps all of her videos fairly short, but you cannot get away without breaking a sweat. She has videos for cardio, as well as working any area of the body. What makes her stand out amongst other fitness stars is her videos that workout to a specific song. For example, I love her cardio fat burn workout video to “Forever” by Chris Brown, or her ab workout to “Adore You” by Harry Styles. The workouts are only the lengths of the songs, and since you are dancing/singing/having fun, you forget that you are even working out! She has done videos to so many mainstream pop songs, I am sure she has a video that everyone will enjoy!

2. Chloe Ting (ChloeTing on YouTube)

Two words. Chloe. Ting. If you want to get in shape in a quick, efficient way, then Chloe will make that happen! She also has workout videos to hit every area, along with challenging programs that are sure to transform your body. Her 2 week shred program is the most popular, and it is free, which makes it even better! These videos are some of the hardest workouts I’ve personally done, so exercise with caution!

3. Alexis Ren (AlexisRen on YouTube)

You may know Alexis Ren due to her modeling career, but she also has some insane fitness videos on her YouTube channel. My holy grail ab workout is her 10 minute ab video (I have been doing this since my senior year of high school!) and it never gets old for me. It hits every area of your stomach, and the most accomplished feeling is FINALLY being able to complete the video without stopping. Another popular video of Alexis’ is her beach booty workout – which definitely works both the legs and behind – and will leave your legs feeling like jello. She also posts healthy meals she enjoys, as well as lifestyle videos. Check her out!

4. Gabby Whited (GabriellaWhited on YouTube)

Gabby is known for her very short and grueling workouts, and I can honestly say that these videos get you into shape fast. I also have been doing her workouts since my senior year of highschool, and I always recommend her to anyone who is looking for new exercise videos to try. My personal favorite are her arm workouts, because there is no equipment involved, and the videos are only 6-8 minutes, but feel like forever! Gabby is also so encouraging and motivational during these workouts because she yells for you to keep going (which personally helps me a lot). She also posts healthy recipes on her page that are easy to make and delicious!

5. Cassey Ho (blogilates on YouTube)

This is a new one for me! My friends recommended her channel, and she has so many different videos to choose from. Her 5M subscribers definitely make a statement that she is well known in the fitness world and posts quality videos for viewers to engage in and enjoy. Since I have a lot of free time on my hands, I will be trying out Cassey’s videos ASAP!
