The holiday season is full of laughter, family, but most importantly FOOD. All those delicious home-cooked meals and baked goods can definitely take away from the time you spend at the gym. But let’s be real. Who really wants to be at the gym during Christmas? Here are 5 ways you can still work on that hot bod without having to bore yourself at the gym. Â
1. Try out a 30 day challenge
Pinterest is full of 30 day challenges that are great to start out with your family and friends. They don’t require much each day but the important part is sticking to them for a whole month. (It can get tricky)
2. Ride a bike or walk to places nearby instead of driving
Nowadays driving or calling an uber is the most convenient way to travel around, but constantly sitting for those long car rides can really cuts on your activeness. Try riding a bike or walking to nearby places; it’ll give you a great workout as well as help you be outdoors and appreciate nature.
3. Have a dance party with your friends/family on Christmas
Spending time with family and friends what this time of year is all about. What better way to burn those calories than to have a dance party with your loved ones.
Make it a competition and it’ll be fun for everyone.
4. Create an exercise tradition
Create a little routine your family does maybe every Christmas morning before opening presents. It’ll make eating all that food and receiving gifts so much better.
5. Drink a glass of water before every meal
Many times when you’re hungry you’re actually just really thirsty. A glass of water before you start on that feast is the best way to judge exactly how much food your body really needs.
