3 Healthy Fall Breakfast Recipes Anyone Can Make

Whether it consists of oatmeal, yogurt bowls, smoothies, protein pancakes, or avocado toast… breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day. I believe a good day always starts with a delicious breakfast, and that is why I wanted to share a few of my favorite fall breakfast recipes. The following three recipes are simple to make, and taste so good. You may see a common theme of a lot of flavored protein powders, unsweetened almond milk, fruit, nut butters, and spices being used. These ingredients really make the dishes flavorful, while also being so versatile and easy to combine with other mix-ins. Personally, I think nothing says fall better than pumpkin oatmeal, a caramel apple smoothie, or a pumpkin spice yogurt bowl! Let’s get cooking!


Faux Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oatmeal

Out of the three, this is definitely my favorite recipe. I am obsessed with oatmeal as well as pumpkin pie, so why not combine the two? On those cold, rainy mornings when you don’t want to get out of bed, these hearty, warm pumpkin-y oats can really turn your morning around! 


1 peeled sweet potato

1/2 cup quick oats 

1/2 cup almond milk

1 scoop Quest vanilla milkshake protein powder (can use any vanilla protein powder)

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup 

1 tbsp nonfat greek yogurt for topping

cinnamon to your liking

ground cloves to your liking 

pumpkin pie spice to your liking 

In a small bowl mix together oats, almond milk, protein powder, almond butter, and maple syrup. Set aside. Peel one sweet potato & place in the microwave until softened through! Next, I cut it into small pieces and mixed it into oat mixture. I stirred in lots of cinnamon and cloves and popped it in the microwave for another 45 seconds to cook it all together. I placed it in the fridge overnight for an easy access breakfast for the following morning, but you could just eat it without this step! The next day I took it out, popped it in the microwave for 1:30 & topped with a little greek yogurt and, of course, pumpkin pie spice! 


Caramel Apple Protein Smoothie!

This smoothie is my own twist inspired by this Apple Cinnamon Protein smoothie. This is quite easy to make, in fact you just throw everything in the blender! I added spinach, which is totally optional and will change the color, but you cannot taste it at all. This smoothie is good when you want something fresh and full of nutrients for your body, but still want something sweet and fall-esque!


3/4 cup almond milk

1 red fuji apple chopped

1 frozen banana

1 scoop salted caramel protein powder 

1 tbsp almond butter

Dash of cinnamon 

dash of cloves 

dash of ginger 

big handful of spinach 

Blend everything & serve in a mason jar with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top! Easy as pie and oh-so-yummy.


Pumpkin Spice Yogurt Bowl!

I have been so into yogurt bowls recently simply because of how easy they are! The base always consists of yogurt, I use greek yogurt, but you could easily swap that out for cashew yogurt or vegan yogurt if necessary. Next comes the toppings, the fun part! Feel free to get super creative here, adding what will please your taste buds! I like to make my bowl pretty, adding each topping in stripes on top of the yogurt, sort of like an acai bowl. Here is one of my recipes!

BASE: 1 cup nonfat greek yogurt mixed with a scoop of angel food cake protein powder

TOPPINGS: 1/4 cup granola (preferably pumpkin or pumpkin seed), 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, one chopped pear or apple, a hefty scoop of almond butter, chia seeds, hemp seeds, more cinnamon & lots of pumpkin pie spice.
