This week’s Campus Cutie is from Clinton, Massachusetts. Sadie is a sophomore Early Childhood Education major, focusing on educating children from preschool to second grade.
“I love working with children, I have a lot of experience working with children. I love watching the ‘lightbulb moment’ when children finally understand something. It is so rewarding.” Sadie babysits outside of school and coached a youth cheerleading team. “I coached my younger sister’s team, the Clinton Gaels, for the past five years. We’ve gone to Nationals in Florida every year.” On top of coaching her sister’s cheerleading team, Sadie is also part of Tomorrow’s Teachers, which is an annual magazine for students of the National Educaiotn Association (http://www.nea.org/home/1825.htm).
In ten years, Sadie would hopefully like to settle in Florida. “Florida or somewhere down South. I also want to travel and start a family.” This past summer, Sadie traveled to Greece with Lasell College in the spring with about 20 other people. “I am Greek so traveling to Greece was always a dream of mine. For nine days we traveled on the mainland and then we took a four day cruise around the islands. In school, you read about the different Gods and Goddesses but to visit their sanctuaries and to see ancient artifacts in real life is such an eye-opening experience. My favorite part of my trip to Greece was visiting the Acropolis. The architecture was beautiful. The view from the top was amazing.”
Sadie’s favorite televisions shows include Dance Moms, Big Bang Theory, and One Tree Hill. “I am obsessed with One Tree Hill. I’m currently on season 7.” Sadie’s favorite movies include Tangled, Lilo and Stitch, and “any Disney movie, really”.
More of Sadie’s favorites include food– chicken parm, kraft spiral mac and cheese (yes, there’s a difference), and kettle corn. Sadie’s celebrity crush is Zac Efron. Her favorite songs are “Champagne and Pools” by Hoodie Allen and “Save Dat Money” by Lil Dicky. Sadie’s favorite band? Bon Jovi! “I grew up on his music, shout out to mom!!” Some more of Sadie’s favorite things include Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, painting, and the color purple. Sadie also loves spending summers on Cape Cod, saying, “My grandmother has a house there, we got every year as a family tradition.”
Sadie is single, and extremely friendly and kind; so feel free to say “hey” when you see her around campus!
