How to Make Easy Rice Krispie Cakes in 3 Steps

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lancaster chapter.

Spring is only a few weeks away (finally!) and although it’s not quite Easter, it’s the perfect time to make some easy chocolate treats! Here’s a super easy 3-step recipe to make Rice Krispie cakes.

You will need:

– Rice Krispies (min. 100g)

– Cooking chocolate (Milk, white or dark, min. 150g)

– Cupcake cases (min. 9-12)

Heat up the Chocolate

Melt some chocolate! You can do this by using a microwave in 10-second increments, using a heat-proof bowl. Or, by using a bain marie (this is just using a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water!). Make sure not to burn the chocolate, you want it to be completely smooth!

Mix in the Rice Krispies

Mix in some Rice Krispies into the melted chocolate. Most recipes recommend 100g, but I would advise to use to use as much as you feel! Once it’s all mixed properly, add the mixture into cupckake cases!

Cool and Decorate

Leave them to set in the fridge for at least an hour, and if you like, decorate with icing sugar, Maltesers, or anything else!
