The predictions were erroneous. I wish it had been so obvious

When they said there would be sun,

That I should begin to run.

You promised me blue skies,

But the vows were all lies.

Before me, the grey sky is growing

So beautiful, I hoped it would be snowing.

But at least snowflakes fall in grace

Knit beautifully, made of silks and fine lace.

But as above began to cry

And the grey clouds were not just passing by,

I ran for shelter to tough the storm.

As I watched the approaching chaos form,

The rolls of thunder, a burst of lightning,

Never had I imagined anything so frightening.

I am shivering, frozen in fear

Wishing it would all just disappear.

A crazy dream, a nightmare

But this is real, and I am here

Stranded in the eye of a brutal hurricane.

The army of swirling leaves prepares, brave and vain

But I am just a single knight without a shield.

Though the battle has just begun,

The storm is stronger than me

And their fight will soon be won.
