It’s okay to be high maintenance. I like what I like, and I prefer to do everything myself. I am a huge makeup, skincare and hair care junkie, and that’s okay. I love to treat myself, and I think everyone should.

I am a big self-care activist, and a lot of that is with the different products I use. I know I am high maintenance, but people tend to refer to this as a negative quality.

I am not the type of person to “bum it.” I love to over-dress, and my more casual looks are sometimes viewed as dressy.

The message I am trying to get across here is that it is okay to like what you like and do what you want. You are your own to maintain, and if you want to do it in a luxurious way and can, why not? People seem to be embarrassed or feel weird about being high maintenance. People see it as a bad thing, but why? Why would you feel bad for taking care of yourself in a way that is comfortable for you?

So, do whatever you want to do and do not care what anyone thinks of you. Buy yourself what you want and do what you like as long as you can. There is no shame in doing that, and do not let people make you feel otherwise.
