This past Friday, the music world lost another beloved member. Rapper Mac Miller was pronounced dead at the age of 26 from an “apparent drug overdose.” 

The news exploded across social media, but was followed by an overwhelming wave of support to Miller’s family by friends and fans. 

The world knew of the recent events that lead up to his death, including his recent break-up from singer Ariana Grande. Following the breakup, DUI charges were pressed on Miller for fleeing the scene after cashing his car while under the influence.

Many believe both the accident and his death were the result of the split. However, it is clear to see that many are in pain after losing the Swimming rapper. 

There has been an uncontrollable outpouring of support for Mac Miller’s family, Ariana Grande, and other individuals dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues.   

 

 

With the support of celebrities and other influencers on social media, there has been another wave of substance abuse awareness. 

 

 

 

Mac Miller was an incredible artist who used his time in the industry to build and recreate his sound.  Incredibly funny, sweet, and resilient, Miller was seen as a symbol for hope. His music carries out healing energies for self-doubt, freeing our inner child, and romantic lullabies.
