Have you been searching for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for your significant other, but can’t think of or find anything?
Well, my love language is gift-giving, so I have some ideas for some simple AND cheap gifts you can create last minute. My boyfriend has LOVED every single gift he has received, from a book with annotations in it, to a gift basket, to a collage frame, so I feel like I have some great ideas that will be sweet and thoughtful gifts for Valentine’s Day.
A cheap trip to the store:
Candy Basket
- Head to the Dollar Store and grab some favorite candies of your significant other. Write a sweet and sentimental card and it is a simple, yet sweet gift.
Hoodies
- Most guys LOVE hoodies and always need more. I know my boyfriend is always needing more hoodies. Walmart, Target and Amazon have cheap, good quality hoodies in a variety of colors and graphics.
Flowers!!
- Some men don’t receive flowers until they die, so get some candy and a bouquet if your significant other is simple!
ideas for the crafty or sentimental girls:
Collage Frame
- Pick out some of your favorite photographs and saved items like concert or sporting tickets, movie stubs or even receipts from dates. Put it all together in an 8×10 frame to be displayed and loved by your significant other.
Kisses Card
- Grab your favorite lipstick and a sheet of paper. And just start smooching. Trust me- it’s a cute idea that will be loved and cherished.
“I love you” Jar
- Grab a mason jar from Michael’s, the Dollar Tree or even from you coffee cup collection and some sheets of paper. Write down lots and lots of reasons why you love your partner and fold them up into tiny pieces. You could even write 365 reasons so they can open one reason every single day.
“52 Reasons I Love You”
- Similar to the jar, you will write out 52 reasons why you love your significant other. But this time you are going to put it on a deck of cards. You can also add pictures to the other side of some cards to make it more personal.
“Open When” Letters
- This gift is perfect for medium and long-distance couples who can’t see each other often. You can write letters ranging from “Open when you miss me,” to “Open when you are stressed,” as well as a variety of other ideas.
