The 12-3-30 workout blew up on the app TikTok in November of 2020. Lauren Giraldo (a social media influencer) posted her weight loss story and said that she owed all her success in the gym to this 12-3-20 workout. She inspired lots of other girls to try this workout because she said that it was easy, fast, and anyone can do it as long as you have a treadmill. The workout is a treadmill workout where you set the incline to 12 and the speed to 3 and walk for 30 minutes. Giraldo says that this workout has helped her lose 30 pounds and she has been able to keep the weight off. She said that it takes about 30 days to see the results.

After seeing all these women post their results I am AMAZED, to say the least. I knew I had to try it out for myself and share my experience. I have always been a very active person and played sports growing up- however, since coming to college and with COVID it has been hard to stay active. Also, I really hate going to the gym because I always feel like I am being judged or am not doing the exercises correctly. So, when I came across this I was sold. All it is is walking on a treadmill, how hard can that be, right?

Well, boy was I wrong. I did the first 12-3-30 workout yesterday and by minute 10 I was dripping sweating. The incline of 12 feelings like you are walking straight uphill. Once I got half way done my calves were on fire, and by 25 minutes I was just telling myself that summer was coming!

With all this being said, I am going to do this workout five times a week for 30 days and will write back at the end of the 30 days with my results and if I recommend this workout for others!
