10 Songs Turning 10 in 2017

  1. Irreplaceable-Beyonce

The part everyone knew: “To the left, to the left…”

2. Umbrella-Rihanna

The part everyone knew: “Umbrella-ella-ella-ayyy..” Such poetry.

3. Hey There Delilah- Plain White T’s

The part everyone knew: “OHHH, IT’S WHAT YOU DO TO MEEEE…”

4.Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)-Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em

The part everyone knew: “YOUUUU!” If you didn’t know the dance you weren’t cool. I didn’t know the dance. Also, am I the only one that didn’t know the artist’s name is technically Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em?

5.Beautiful Girls-Sean Kingston

The part everyone knew: “You’re way too BEAUUUUUTIFUL girl…”

6.Girlfriend-Avril Lavigne

The part everyone knew: “Hey hey, you you, I don’t like your boyfriend!” A punk-rock anthem forever.

7. Glamorous-Fergie

The part everyone knew: “G-L-A-M-O-R-OUS…” Or, if you were a self-proclaimed ‘bad kid’, “If you ain’t got no money take your broke ass home”

8.How To Save a Life-The Fray

The part everyone knew: “Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend…” This one still gets me.

9. Chasing Cars-Snow Patrol

The part everyone knew: “If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world…” OK this one’s pretty emotional too. The lyrics to this song probably adorned many a Converse shoe.

10. Teardrops on my Guitar-Taylor Swift

The part everyone knew: “He’s the reason for the teardrops on my guitar…” Old school Taylor Swift is the best Taylor Swift in my opinion.

BONUS: Nickelback-Rockstar

Just thought everyone could use a reminder that the world’s favorite band had not one, but three songs on the Billboard Top 100 in 2007.

Her goal is to become a photojournalist for National Geographic but also to own several dogs and have a pathetically impressive collection of nut butters. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, hiking, volunteering, and writing about herself in the third person. After graduation, she hopes to move to Oregon where she will mock its citizens while simultaneously identifying with them on a deep level.
