The first week coming back from Summer break and starting school again always comes with so many different emotions. You’re probably thinking about what outfits you should wear, who are in your class and seeing all your friends again. When all that excitement dies down, it’s hard to face the fact that we’re in for another semester of hard work. By having a successful semester and gaining that 4.0, it’s essential to start the school year off right with good habits!   When you first get your syllabi, it’s super important to read it carefully for each class and write down all the due dates in a planner. That way you won’t be surprised by any upcoming tests or quizzes, and you’ll be able to plan your studying time better that way. Planning will also help you get a head start on all your assignments because everything will be laid out in one spot and easy to see.   Even though getting back into school might be overwhelming, you should still make sure that you take time for yourself. Designate one day a week that you use to unwind and take care of your physical and mental health. Having this day to de-stress will help you not to feel burned out by schoolwork, meetings, and work.   As we go into the second week of school, keep these tips in mind and seize the semester!
